A Welcome from the Chair

I would like to wish you a warm welcome to the Security Commonwealth and its website.

It is undeniable that communities are more fruitful and cohesive when they come together for a common purpose. Recently, we have all experienced extraordinary times and challenges during the pandemic but there have also been many positives not least the use of virtual media as an enabler for real time communications. It has also allowed for colleagues located nationally to engage in a really meaningful way with SyCom and going forwards we will aim to build on this.

SyCom is an umbrella organisation that currently comprises of approx. 40 independent membership bodies across the security sector. Our aim is to provide a forum that represents your views, suggestions and aims and hence achieves the  ‘Collaboration, Cooperation and Communication’ between its member bodies, following the principle that working together is a force stronger than the sum of its parts: ‘Stronger Together’.
